Genkai Capital Management Co., Ltd. launched its second fund Genkai Capital Fund 2 on August 24, 2007. The fund's assets, totaling some ¥50 billion, are roughly three times those of the first fund.
The fund invests in real estate of all kinds around Japan, with a focus on Kyushu. The fund's first investment, dated August 31, is the Enokida Business Square, a series of contiguous low-rise buildings − a new type of business model − in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City.
