UTO City Mall appears in the Japanese film "KISEKI"
You can see UTO City Mall in the Japanese film "KISEKI" directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda,released on June 11.
The story revolves around the brothers separately living in Fukuoka and Kagoshima after their parents divorce. They dream of their family being reunited one day, so they are very excited to hear that a miracle will occur when the first trains of Kyushu Shinkansen meet. As a result, they conduct a plan to create a real miracle of their own and respectively travel to Kumamoto with their friends by local trains.
While the kids look for the place where they can overlook the Shinkansen, they run up to the rooftop of UTO City Mall.
(Notice: As the scene was shot last autumn, the mall shown in the film is without the renewal made this April.)
