Higashida joined GENKAI Capital Management in 2023 and is responsible for acquisitions. He worked for Samurai Capital from 2018 to 2023 and was responsible for acquisitions and asset management as Managing Director. From 2016 to 2018 he was involved in asset management of the private REIT at Tokyu Land Capital Management. From 2009 to 2016, he worked for Resona Bank and was engaged in sourcing and executing non-recourse real estate loan lending. Prior to that, he worked on acquisitions and planning of condominium/office building development projects at Japanese developers.
